Carpet Spot Removal Ideas
In most cases as a professional carpet cleaner, I prefer that the customer doesn't try to take out stains before I get there because often they set the stain and make my job harder and, for the customer, more expensive. However there are things a person can do to minimize the spotting such as blotting with water etc. I have located a link that might be helpful to you if you are trying to solve a spotting problem in your carpet. Let me know how it works. Ted

Dog Vomit Removal Step #1
Clean up the material with warm water and a clean white towel or cloth. Get as much of the vomit up as you can by applying clean water and soaking it up. Repeat this until the water you retrieve is quite clear. Do not use soap at this time as soap leaves a residue that collects dirt.
Dog Vomit Removal Step # 2:
To remove the stain I apply an enzyme product to the stain site. I use a tamping brush to incorporate the enzyme into the stain using agitation and then let the enzyme soak in for about 10- 15 minutes. (If you doing this at home and don't have a tamping brush, apply the enzyme and gently rub with a clean cloth, just enough to get it incorporated).
Dog Vomit Removal Step # 3:
I now want to remove the enzyme and any vomit residue that has been collected. I use a tool called a water claw attached to the vacuum hose from my truck mount. At home you don't have this luxury. Take clean towels and apply pressure to the site by pushing down hard on the spot. Keep rotating the application of new dry towels or cloths until you aren't getting much moisture. Then place a new dry cloth on the site and place a fairly heavy weight on top of it. Leave this for a few hours. When the cloth is wet, remove and replace with a dry cloth.
